GOP AGs Threaten “Nebraska Compromise”
“Thirteen Republican state attorneys general are threatening to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of the Senate health care bill. In a letter sent to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid Wednesday, South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster said he had ‘grave concerns’ about the deal Senate leaders cut with Nebraska Democrat Ben Nelson to secure his crucial vote for the health care package.” (Politico, Thursday)
There’s nothing quite like partisanship to motivate Republicans to defend the Constitution.

Hooray for the AG’s. I’ve been wondering why these illegal proceedings haven’t been challenged in court by principled attorneys all along.

Article 1, Section 8
“…but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States.”
