China Executes British Drug Smuggler

“British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said he was appalled at China’s execution of a Briton caught smuggling heroin on Tuesday, prompting China to denounce British ‘accusations’ and defend its court system.” (Washington Post, Tuesday)

  1. Well, he was in their country breaking their country’s laws. What were they supposed to do? Turn him loose and say “oh, well, since you’re British, you’re free to break our laws at will. Have at it!”

    Everyone knows you can only get away with that in Washington.
