Well said and easier said that done. Interest group point scoring has a short half-life but good ideas and ethics slowly build up.

Steven, this is a valuable reminder of the type of discourse that will have a positive impact on the future of freedom. I believe that your cautions provide the “defenders” of liberty with an important long-term view which will produce “converts” or “awaken” folks to the concepts of liberty and the freedom philosophy. Thanks for the reminder, since I admit I am easily tempted to be lazy and fall into the traps of not investigating the advocates of an ever growing state and central planning as thoroughly as I should.

Great reminder/exhortation Steven! It occurs to me that many of us will have opportunities to practice these suggestions with our families/friends around our Christmas and New Years feasts.
