Political state intervention in general increases costs - this is historically observable and beyond debate!

New technologies in general are more expensive than older ones which have amortized R&D costs. The high cost of new technologies provide capital input, which without coercive political state intervention, drive consumer costs down over time.

Ultimately each individual gets the quality of health care (and other market products and services) he can afford ranging from the OTC drug store products to the the highest tech diagnostic tests, highest reputation doctors, and Beverly Hills style hospitals. No one has a right to health care at someone else's expense - coercive socialist utopian fools paradise's notwithstanding.
