But his actions in this and other matters smack of state capitalism. He wants to usurp the rule of law and manipulate the price system with price controls and subsidies to achieve political ends. Perhaps I have succumbed to a disturbed, paranoiac view of what he and the congress desire for our economy. I prefer to believe that their impulses are perilously mindless, but not benign.
