This was indeed an illuminating article. I too have faced myself in the mirror - waiting on just the right opportunity to share with "the masses" eternal truths and a call back to God's Holiness. This article reminds me that we are called to plant seeds, to water, fertilize, but it is up to God to give the increase. I especially like the portion where the idea germinates later in the mind of the Remnant calling him to action. Honestly...maybe it is just pride in wanting to have a big enough audience to hear me. Shameful. We are to encourage the Remnant - not chase the praise of man. Pray for me.

Though worded in such a way as to be slightly obscure to many (owing to the age in which it was written), to read and thoroughly digest the contents of this little essay is well worth the effort.

I first read it some twenty years ago, and it immediately clarified for me and dispelled the notion that (though only vaguely perceived) if I could but formulate the perfect argument, and word it in the perfect way, that I could one day 'change the world.'

The reality is that there are numerous minds that are superior to mine who have stated their case brilliantly, yet the masses continue to believe what it is that they prefer to believe - and reading this essay reminds me that it has always been so.

So we need to keep on reading, learning, and working to improve ourselves; to seek to influence others, and to be an encouragement to those around us who are of a like mind. It is all we can do, all we are asked to do, and all anyone has ever been able to do.
