The Chinese students refer to the choice of the American voters to go to central control of health care, redistribution of wealth, and control of wages. China departed from all this when they gave up Marxist economics in favor of freedom and market economy.

I think that the instinct to social engineer is only a camouflage for instinct to enslave. No one ever enslaved anyone by being forthright about his intentions. It always requires masquerading and promisses of free lunch.

To Donald M. Coder – Your students questions are scary in so many ways. The Chinese may be growing in wealth but I don’t think China’s policies have anything to do with freedom….considering their one child policy and organ harvesting as well as what economic travesties they are probably committing!!

An excellent article, but what else should or could I have expected. Over the years I have realized that the government schools and the totally, controlled media have developed and maintained the dumbing-down (social-engineering) of the public until they are presently, what I describe, as the masses-r-asses. Very few americans, if not world-wide, have any idea what a good form of government should be therefore they take for granted how they are being controlled.
The Founding Fathers, if is is possible, must constantly roll in their graves when they realize that what they made the greatest sacrifice for is no longer in use! The Republic is dead!
