Where honesty and integrity are lacking, government intervention and taxes escalate. Our present socialistic policies are irrefutable evidence that the majority of our citizenry are morally corrupt: willing to have the government [coercive police power] sponsor programs that diminish life, liberty and property. My personal belief is that it is too late for the freedom and liberty of the Republic. The demokracy has now taken hold because of your statement about the people expecting the government handout(s). History has proven that in each and every instance where man has secured his so-called freedom and liberty, he has acquiesced to government control and therefore the handout. As Santayana stated many years ago, "Unless we learn from the mistakes of the past, we are bound to repeat them; the mistakes!" The latter quote is paraphrased, but the meaning is there!
