		<description>The more bank failures that occur, the more we see that FDIC protection is nothing more than re-distribution of wealth. Depositors are ultimately protected by the Treasury, which is funded out of general tax collections.

Why would I want to base a financial strategy on the efforts, the subsidy, the backs of others - that is, unless I were a socialist.</description>

		<description>The FDIC system puts the guarantees entirely at the beck &amp; call of the Federal Government.  Since it is so overdrawn in it\\\&#039;s own debt, Gov will be unable to guarantee deposits.  Fraud, yes, fixing, impossible.
