Since when you subsidize something you get more of it, wouldn't that help reduce carbon emissions by bringing out the true cost of the roads and discouraging excessive driving? I think the left will rebel because they like their freebies, so I think the goal isn't carbon emission reduction but control over the individual. If carbon emissions are such a problem, then why not end all federal, state and local road subsidies?
