Look if there is slack in the economy then the borrowing doesn't have to "crowd out" the private sector. You borrow
1) From China--then you are not crowding out any one in America so it doesn't come from any Americans
2) From Americans who aren't spending it. American investor is sitting on lots of money (maybe he/she pulled the money out of a bad stock market). This investor isn't creating jobs or producing anything. Loans it to the government. The government pays some one a wage what we unemployed, that working buys goods, the business produces more and keeps the economy going.

Employment at 8% isn't a natural state of affairs, there's lots of slack in the economy because we are not at full production. So we're not getting money from nowhere, or taking it away from someone. We're using money that is not being used because the economy has contracted.

What amuses me most about the whole FDR thing is that no one identifies what the hinge post actually was the gate way to prosperity.
I don\'t know the minutia of government activities, but it seems to have lost it\'s manager. Us!
I think given the cavalier performance of politicians they forget at whose discretion they serve. I have never felt at any time in my entire life I was respected and treated with fairness and honesty by my public servant.
Most politicians see there roles as two fold (1) put my money and as much of it as possible in public coffers, and (2) pass further legislation to limit my freedom and gain, restrict, or control freedoms established by our founding fathers.
Why is there ever any discussion about abortion/stem cell research in our public forums. It is morality. I consider that wholesale intrusion by government in areas where it is not equipped to debate let alone legislate
And now I will by by government decree be forced to fund through taxation what I consider to be personal and private matters.
Government has forgotten its place and is out of balance
Activate in local politics
