Mr. Coder:

There are several broad misconceptions you advocate:

1.Assumption the common folks believe that there are "all-wise" persons in government. I have listened to some very uneducated, back-woods types here in KY and they rail at the "government" and give the government people no quarter.

2.The "earnings of those who are productive" may apply to the average middle class, but not to the mega-rich. While attending college I worked for Home Depot for $10.00 per hour and was as productive as I could be. Bob Nardalli, CEO of HD at the time, "earned" $85,000 per hour and basically was hired to screw the workers. Nardalli is now screwing the workers of Chrysler.

3.The mega-rich have numerous schemes to transfer wealth from the lower and middle classes. It is only fair that the lower classes enjoy the same privilege of causing the transfer of wealth back to them, since they are really the "earners" or “earners-in-waiting”.

4.The lower classes, especially the poor, spend all they receive, thus putting cash flow back into the economy, whereas the mega-rich "spend" their money by making investments in foreign enterprises, many of which are involved in taking jobs away from U.S. workers.

It is so often assumed that there are all-wise people in "the government" who know more than those who are in the real world of manufacturing, marketing, and buying. Those who find employment in "the government" naturally sell their ill-conceived ideas that they know something that the real world does not know. They know how to seize the earnings of those who are productive and transfer them to those who are not productive. The result? A worsening of the problems, even as they attract the votes of the simple.

So true, so true. I could only wish national economies heeded this warning in '01 and perhaps we could have avoided or at least managed, this modern-day apocalypse.
