For all intents and purposes man does not deserve to be free. Those that truly desire to enjoy freedom recognize that there are obligations and responsibilities inherent in maintaining freedom; and liberty.
Man, per se, is a mental coward. He wants but will not peform those responsibilities and obligations that are prerequisite in having a free society. His head is buried somewhere in the darkness of greed and avarice, and the cowardice to stand up and be counted when the call for participation is required.
The entire us of a is floundering debt yet all governmental agencies have vast and wealthy CAFR funds that are totally unconstitutional and man either does not know about them or is not willing to challenge the massive theft(s) that created them.
There is no hope for liberty and freedom because as Santayana has eloquently stated in the past, "Unless mankind is willing to recognize the mistakes of the past he is bound to repeat them!", and except for possibly some slight variation in the wording, that is what Santayana has stated and that is what we continue to suffer from; man's mental cowardice!
