I request more people will make a note websites such as this which are in truth accommodating to read. With the thistledown floating nearly online, it's uncommon to look on the find such as yours rather.

Great article Deefburger. Also, interest rates need to be competitive and be allowed to float. The banker/lender would (with his stockholders equity in mind) make loans that made sense, that had sufficient collateral and followed sound underwriting. We do NOT need a central bank to set 'prime' rates to begin with.
What a shellgame we now have!!!! Bernake thinks we have no inflation...apparently he never shops for food.

willienelso3:
Who has monopoly on fiat money?
Who has the power to prohibit people from holding real money (gold) and has already done so once?
Who holds the most real money in facilities constructed for taxpayer money, and guarded by taxpayer-funded armed forces?
Who says "this piece of paper is a promise to pay you... uh... this piece of paper"?

Need any more hints?

The problems associated with floating fiat currencies are the same problems when viewed as labor markets. Restrictions and tarrifs only make the differences worse. Free trade between nations requires a single unit of exchange that is not tied to any externalities of control, like silver and gold.

Arguing about what jobs go where, and why, in a fiat money scenario, where there are multiple fiat currencies and labor markets under those currencies, is like trying to see the bottom of a barrel full of fish. Complaining that the barrel has too many little fish in it to see ignores the fact that the barrel has any fish at all. Size is relevant to fishes. Visibility of the bottom of the barrel is only relevant to its degree of emptiness, not the size of the contents within.

What we need is an end to central banking and fractional reserve fiat money creation, world-wide. Competing gold and silver currencies will stabilize the appearance of labor and resource value, world-wide.

By continuing to float currencies, we will continue to float perception of value, and our resources will continue to float into places other than our own wealth holdings.

Ultimately, all the wealth winds up in the hands of those issuing the currencies. The labor market is only holding bank notes, the real estate market is only living in the houses and the banks hold the notes on those, and the same is true for factories, inventory, cars, and everything else.

Only people holding gold or silver are holding money. Guess who that is.

Good article and hate to nit pic. Is there something left out of the paragraph that begins, "Another advantage" I understand the point, but it seems several words may have been deleted.
