You can find Civia’s book, Marva Collins’ Way, on Amazon. It’s a story of a living legend teacher, Marva Collins. The book is written both by Marva and Civia, so you get both viewpoints of her classroom.
Suggest you also read Paul Tough’s book, Whatever It Takes, about Geoffrey Canada and Harlem Children’s Zone. Same issue, and a 30-year updated holistic approach to healing inner-city families and ending multi-generational poverty.
