This is so profound and true. It is a shame when even the intellegent, so-called “White Leaders” support such things as Diction to perpetuate this stereotype of White Culture. 

I hope seeing an intellegent White President who “talks black” and who probably went through some of the same racist events as Mr. Hill will begin to change the way White People relate to each other and the world around them. 

As a black woman who spent 20 years in the Air Force and has White female friends and dated many White men, I have seen the racism from both sides. I spent 17yrs as a Human Relations Instructor and worked discrimination complaints on the bases. It amazed me when a good friend told me he hid is “black” music when his “friends” came around so they wouldn’t hound him. 

I urge you to continue the effort to build bridges and uplift our cultures. Thank you for such an eye-opening piece. I have printed it to give to another White man, who in my opinion is in the middle between “poor” and “middle class” and speaks as such.</description>
