As a home builder, I dealt with all kinds of government agencies who seemed more interested in extracting as much additional money beyond building permit fees as they could. We fixed drainage they had not touched in forty years, laid sewer and water lines, paved and curbed new roads and then got charged to use those same facilities before turning them over to the town. A quarter million dollars of investment for which we received a buck. So what is the difference between the government and the mafia? You elect one. Trouble is, it&#039;s getting harder to tell the difference.</description>
