Where Do Canadians Go for Health Care?
The Detroit Free Press has an answer. Money quote:
Agreements between Detroit hospitals and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for heart, imaging tests, bariatric and other services provide access to some services not immediately available in the province, said ministry spokesman David Jensen.

Comment by Jacob Steelman on 23 August 2009:
If Canadians come to the USA for certain types of medical procedures that the Canadian health system cannot provide where will Americans go when their health care system is nationalized by the Obama administration? Mexico? Or more likely Thailand and the Philippines where there is available much less expensive medical and dental procedures performed by American (or American educated and trained) doctors and dentists who have set up their practices offshore. This is where Australians go because under our state run health care system there are long waiting lines or worst, botched medical procedures and limited coverage by our nationalized health care service. Patients have died in waiting rooms or were forced to have their baby in the waiting rooms as they waited for assistance.
