Taxation 101
Is it asking too much for reporters to know the difference between taxes paid and the percentage of income paid in taxes? Despite what the reporters imply, Warren Buffett did not pay less in taxes than his secretary, even if he paid a smaller percentage of his income in taxes.

Sheldon,
It is maddening. It is the continuation of “us vs. them” tactics in order to continue resentment towards one another.
This worked in the 1800′s in order to gain more government control and continued on increasingly through the 1900′s till today.
Americans get scared when they think that the are getting poorer because the rich make much more than they do. This fuels their desire to vote for more government intrustion into the freed-market and thus into all of our lives.

The 2nd plank to the Communist Manifesto calls for a heavy Progressive Income Tax. So anyone who supports any kind of Income Tax must be a practicing Communist. Therefore,it must be a matter of degree. I would guess that Mr.Obama, by advocating higher Income Taxes on the more affluent,is more of a practicing Communist then the conservative, socialist”me too”Republicans that criticize him. Again, its a matter of degree.
