Can't Find A Morning Show

I don’t know if morning shows are getting worse or I’m getting less tolerant, but I just can’t find a news program to watch during my ritualistic morning caffeine fix. FoxNews has some good information, but unfortunately the informative part of the program is only about 2 mins at the beginning of each hour. There something hollow about CNN. And Morning Joe, which I watched consistently before the 2008 election, now seems to focus every morning on the “extremism” of the Republican party, as if Republicans were running the country or something. I’m lucky I live in Chicago where there are a few decent local programs. But this morning I ended up watching the sports show, Mike and Mike, anyway. If I’m watching sports in the morning, have the terrorists won?

  1. I had to give up. I now head up to my office and get on the computer to get my daily news fix online from various sources. It keeps me up to date without having a first-thing-in-the-morning stressfest based on talking heads that I may or may not agree with. Have a good one!

  2. I have exactly the same complaint. There is no good morning TV news program. Although, there is no good evening one either. I use the web for most news but do enjoy the BBC. They at least delve into a topic. They once had an update on world malaria that ran a full 15 minutes, almost unheard of on US TV.There is a market here for good news programing. Wonder who will fill it.
