Alert: Sham Global Warming Could Hit Midwest Hardest

Huffington Post Headline: Where Climate Change Will Hit HardestPicture 14The flashy red map bull’s eyes in on the heart of the Midwest. The story goes on to list congressmen in Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska who are standing in the way of “cap and trade”.Clicking the link to the actual analysis takes me to an even flashier graphic at the Nature Conservancy website. And there I also find the actual “analysis” on which the map is based. Actually the only thing new here is the map the data for the “analysis” is simply the IPCC data, the same data MIT professor Richard Lindzen recently told us is flat wrong (see Lindzen Study).Ahhhh. Gotta love politics. I think Americans are a little more concerned not having a job when global warming gets here.

  1. In Michigan, which isn’t quite in the bull’s eye of that map but still looks like it was supposed to succumb to warming, we’re in the fourth-coldest summer on record. I’ve been chilly most of the last 10 days. In August! (Oh, maybe my point is too simple-minded for the climate-change crowd. Cooling and warming all imply some sort of bad, anthropogenic climate change.)
